Abstract: The trend of computer graphics hardware is to increase the graphic processing speed. Today, in advanced workstations lots of methods such as develo ping new system architecture,using special-purpose hardware and custom chips,etc., have been used to improve the processing speed.This paper discusses how to impro ve the graphic processing speed with hardware techniques, and analyse some hardware techniques used,such as workstation architecture, frame-buffer organization, graphics processor, special-purpose hardware, etc,.
