Abstract:
In complex gear transmission, the space arrangement of meshing gears is a problem with very high algorithmic complexity. Exhausting enumeration and controlled stochastic algorithms have the shortcomings of long calculation time and low solution optimization. In this paper, the interference measurement between different meshing gears is regarded as their index of dissimilarity, then cluster analysis algorithm is employed. Such a new approach to solve the problem of space arrangement of meshing gears is straightforward and gives good results.
