Abstract: In the paper we present a progressive similarity matching algorithm based on the feature bintree of the 3D models. The system matches bintrees of two models to get their similarity. This algorithm is invariant to rotation and translation and suitable for coarse-to-fine shape matching strategy. Experiments show that the algorithm performs fairly well in 3D shape matching.
