Abstract: This paper introduces the fundamental concepts and properties of Visual Languages. Based on Event Driven Mechanism, Logic Driven Mechanism and Compound Expression Structure are presented. The functional languages, Logic languages and object-oriented languages are analyzed theoretically. The above mentioned three types of languages have been proved to be essentially compatible and unified, which are used to develop Vilog, one of logic Visual language.
