Abstract: Information such as local degrees of freedom and spatial relationships among parts can be directly derived from mating constraints in the assembly.Based on this information,the concepts of precedence access directions and local freedom table are presented.An algorithm of automatic generation of assembly sequence based on the minimum number of feasible access directions is proposed.
