Abstract: In this paper, the new concepts of triangle partition, triangle weak partition and angle-preserving partition for polygons are presented. A' new similarity measure method for polygons which is invariant to rotation and transformation and size changing is given based on these partitions. Furthermore, a method of similarity retrieval for pictorial database is discussed.
