通路时延可控的时序驱动多级划分算法

Timing-Driven Multilevel Partitioning Algorithm with Controlled Path Delay

  • 摘要: 提出一种可以控制关键通路时延的时序驱动多级划分算法.首先通过聚类保护降低关键通路被分割的几率,减小后续操作对最小割目标的影响;然后使用划分保护控制通路被分割的次数,将关键通路时延限定在指定时钟周期之内.该算法只对最底层网表进行一次时序分析,克服了现有基于通路的时序驱动多级划分算法无法完全控制关键通路时延,需要对所有层次的网表进行时序分析的缺点.实验结果表明,该算法可得到较小的超边割值和通路时延值.

     

    Abstract: A multilevel partitioning scheme with controlled path delay is proposed by incorporating the clustering and partitioning protection.In the clustering phase,for simultaneous cutsize and circuit delay minimization,the more critical and independent paths are clustered in the finer netlist.During the partitioning phase,critical path delay can satisfy the specified timing constrains by controlling the number of path cut.Our scheme is capable of overcoming drawbacks of current path-based timing-driven multilevel partitioning algorithms: uncontrolled path cut and frequent timing analysis.The experimental results show that a good trade-off between cutsize and delay can be obtained by our algorithm.
