Interactive Free-Form Deformation for Sculpture

摘要: 提出了用任意基本函数定义的偏移曲线实现的自由变形技术,克服了原Bézier形式的偏移参考基准线在一个局部凸包内的限制,使得网格顶点可变形的范围更大,计算更稳定;同时,扩展了曲线几何约束的变形方法,舍弃了三角剖分带和局部参数化的方法,转而通过控制偏移曲线的基本参数来生成表面的凸凹变形;通过调节不同位置的变形范围和变形幅值可以实现非均匀变形.Abstract: An approach for free-form deformation is presented through applying basic functions into the displacement curves.The approach may overcome the constraint in the previous method that a Bézier-shaped displacement reference curve has to be confined into a local hull.As a result,larger deformations with robust computation can be handled in the new approach for any vertex of a given mesh.In the extended curve constraint,the original triangulation and parameterization scheme is replaced with the one based on basic functions by controlling their parameters to generate surface deformations.Meanwhile,a non-uniform deformation technique is introduced by controlling the extension and the magnitude of deformation.
