Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to realize the dynamic simulation of turbulent combustion flame, and as a result of this study, a three-dimensional visualization model of flame using particle motion animation is presented. The model is composed of flame particle sub-model, turbulent flow sub-model, and fuel property sub-model. A physical relation is established between the turbulent flow and the particle motion, where the flow field is integrated with the temperature field. The temperature field of a combustion chamber is displayed by a rendering of color and transparence of triangular meshes. It clearly shows that the flame front surface is deeply affected by the turbulent swirl by applying the model to the combustion flame of a natural gas engine.
