Abstract: This paper introduces a method for designing curve-outline chinese characters,which is based on the character scheme and basic strokes and is under the control of direction factor and width factor. Based on a set of chinese character schemes and a set of basic strokes,the method can generate several fonts with different stroke width. Alternating the basic stroke set can change the type of font generated.
