Abstract: Under the CIMS environment, the product information management in an enterprise is fulfilled by PDM system, while in office department, groupware is used as OA platform to support cooperative work. For realizing information integration in the whole enterprise,it is inevitably necessary to integrate these two systems.By analyzing the major functions of PDM and groupware,we worked out the requirements,contents and principles of the integration process.Finally,the integration approach was studied based on the available commercial software systems.
