Printer's Gamut Visualization Based on Geometric Model

  • 摘要: 针对色彩管理应用需求,给出一种打印机最大色域的生成、提取及可视化方法.通过优化CMYK四色墨水组合得到最大色域样本集;利用凸壳算法构造其几何模型,可对用几何模型描述的色域进行剖面操作;最后对色域及其剖面进行真彩可视化.基于上述技术的可视化软件已在Visual C++6.0下实现,可用于设备彩色特性、分色方法和色域映射算法的辅助研究.

     

    Abstract: Aiming at the requirements of color management, this paper presents a method for the formation, extraction and visualization of the biggest printer gamut. The method obtains the sampling of the biggest gamut through optimizing combinations of CMYK inks, builds its geometric model by convex hull algorithm, dissects the gamut described by geometric model, and visualizes the gamut or its section with the true color. The visualization software based on the above-mentioned technology was realized in MS Visual C++6.0 environment, which is an important aid in research of device color characteristics, color separation, and gamut mapping algorithms.
