Abstract: In this survey, we briefly review some basic approaches of Image-Based Modeling and Rendering (IBMR) with the main concern in the recent developments in IBMR, and discuss their advantages and limitations respectively. In the last, we address some recent research trends and some application possibilities of IBMR.
