Abstract:
Based on the analysis of XML routing techniques,a new method is presented to implement distributed virtual environment using XML routing.Combining XML routing techniques with active interest management, this method adopts the b-i directional shared multicast tree as the communication topology, and performs active filtering and forwarding of datagram according to publish-subscribe pattern. Therefore, this method can not only reduce network traffic, but also quickly change communication relationship in a dynamical fashion, thus efficiently improving the scalability of distributed virtual environment. Finally, the implementation of the prototype system demonstrates the feasibility and efficiency of the method applied in the distributed virtual environment.
