Abstract: Methods of shoe last modeling are discussed. Because of the irregularity of shoe last shape, this paper puts forward a discrete modeling method and gives an approximation algorithm for calculating shoe last girth. Our own definition of slope is given and a local slope-based adaptive deformation algorithm of shoe last is developed. An actual application example and the modeling results are analyzed.
