Abstract: The architecture drawing CAD system based on data base comprises several models, including the functional-parts, self-defmed, the plane-graph design, the section & elevation-graph design and the query and management on architecture engineering data base. This paper introduces the structure, the function of each model and the characters of this system. The design method of this system is "up-to-down" which refers to gen eral process on architecture drawing design. A piece of drawing can be designed by dividing into basic graphical-elements, functional-elements and functional-parts.The system combines automatical generation with interactive technique,having characters of high efficiency, easy modification and display output. Besides, this system has a user-friendly interface, using unified Chinese -screen-menu, convenient to user operating. There are 50,000 lines (Fortran & C) in this system, which now are tried out on Apollo DN 3000 workstation.
