Abstract: An efficient algorithm of adaptive order partial distortion eliminate（AOPDE） is proposed to reduce the computation cost of intra prediction in video coding.Based on the order of most probable prediction modes in H.26 L,we can adaptively control the prediction process of different prediction modes so as to take advantage of PDE method.Experimental results based on T ML 8 show that the proposed algorithm is more efficient than PDE approach.
