Abstract: The article reviews the current research situations on auralization．After the introduction of several classification methods，much attention is paid to the general scheme of the realization of auralization system in a computer system，that is，generally including room acoustical simulation，calculation of the binaural room impulse response and convolution．Furthermore，some principle software／hardware products in auralization domain are introduced and future directions are proposed．At last，it analyzes the possible application domains of auralization．
