Abstract: Advantages of hexagonal grids over square grids for graphic display are demonstrated and algorithms for rendering line, circle and ellipse on hexagonal grids are presented. The problem of coordinate transformation is discussed. This work lays a foundation for implementing hexagonal grid display.
