局部体样条函数法可视化建模的模拟退火途径

Simulated Annealing Approach to Visualization Modeling with Local Volume Splines

  • 摘要: 局部体样条函数法是当前用于大尺寸散乱体数据可视化建模的主要方法之一.与其它方法相比,它有较高的建模精度,又易于实现,但必须首先解决建模区域的恰当划分.文中提出一个模拟退火算法实现区域的优化划分,解决了这一关键问题;通过实验及与Nielson所得结果的对比,证明了这一途径的有效性,并同时确定了局部体样条函数法建模的适用范围.最后,利用一个海洋调查数据可视化实例显示了局部体样条函数法的应用潜力.

     

    Abstract: At present, local volume spline is one of main modeling methods in the visualization of large scattered volumetric data sets. A good partition on the modeling domain is crucial to the implementation of local volume spline. A simulated annealing algorithm is presented to carry out optimized partition of the domain; two experiments together with comparison with Nielson's results are described to indicate the feasibility of this approach and some limits to the size of data sets. Finally, as an example, some visual images for a set of oceanic investigation data are given to show the potential of this method.
