Abstract: Applying virtual reality technology in sports simulation can promote motion training level, and be beneficial to the development of commonality exercise of physical fitness. This paper gives a state of the art report of the application of virtual reality to sports simulation based on the R&D work we have done in this area. We present the key techniques of VR-based sports simulation, introduce several typical systems, and discuss the future development of the VR-based sports simulation.
