Abstract: This paper pesents a new method of automatic placement, which has been used in LOD system. The method uses PO cone in the initial placement and uses connectivity relations of lines in the physical placement. It places gates in levels by recognizing feedback lines and packs all inner gates to one macrocell for flip-flops.
