Abstract: This paper introduces a feature based design system with the help of Pro/Develop tool based on Pro/Engineer CAD system. The design effectiveness can be improved with the help of this system. The additional information can be added into the feature in order to provide enrichment information for down stream processes and realize the information and function integration of CAD/CAPP/CAM. Generalized feature is presented by author, so integrated product information model can be established.
