Abstract:
The development of a component-oriented distributed part optimization design and data management system (D3MS) is introduced in this paper. The system aims at the functions of distributed product data management, parametric design, optimization design and FEA of the parts. In its development, firstly, by using component-oriented approach, the system architecture is designed. And then based on the component programming, two software components for part parametric design and part optimization design respectively are realized. Finally, with the distributed 3-tier network model and COM/DCOM distributed component model, the distributed integration of the two design components, data management and FEA module is achieved.
