Abstract: A prototype system—WebSuperman CAD/CAM is implemented on the basis of existing Superman2000 CAD/CAM system. It adopts the browser/server architecture. Functions related to user interaction are arranged at the browser end, while functions which need a large amount of calculation related to the system's kernel are allocated at the server end. The communication between browser and server is implemented through CORBA technology.
