基于图像的虚拟场景实时漫游

Image Based Real-time Walkthrough in Virtual Environment

  • 摘要: 提出一种基于图像的并行绘制算法,通过分割图像显示窗口并行绘制,实现了三维场景的高分辨率图像的实时绘制.该算法按各节点计算性能分配任务,实现了负载平衡.利用三维场景漫游时相邻帧之间的相关性,采用RLE(Run Length Encoded)压缩方法传输图像,降低了传输开销.实验结果表明,在4台PC组成的机群上,实现了512×512大小的图像的实时绘制.

     

    Abstract: An image-based parallel rendering technology is proposed to achieve rea-l time interactive walkthrough in virtual 3D scene by dividing the image into strip regions.In order to achieve load balancing,sub-tasks are assigned according to the computation capacity of each node. Moreover,by exploiting the coherency of neighboring frames,a communication strategy combining with run length encoded compression algorithm is presented to reduce communication cost.Experiment results show that rea-l time interactive walkthrough with 512×512 image is achieved by employing PC cluster.
