Abstract: With the greatly increasing of product versions in mass customization production, more and more strict requirements are raised on version management. A new algorithm with parent-copy approach is presented to solve the product version control problem involving both component evolvement and product structure evolvement. Compared with the traditional solutions, parent-copy approach made an improvement on time-complexity and space-complexity. It produced good effects in practical applications.
