Abstract: Expression of CAD knowledge compatible with STEP standards is explored to delete the gap between AI module and CAD module in intelligent CAD systems. Application of STEP techniques in knowledge expression from the viewpoint of knowledge modeling, knowledge compiling and physical realization are discussed to promote seamless integration between KBS and CAD module.
