Abstract:
IDEF0 methodology is applied to describe the process modeling of remote collaborate system. Key issues, such as knowledge capture for collaborative work, generalized frame-rule based knowledge representation, knowledge application unit(KAU) based knowledge reference and integration of hierarchically organized CSCW tools, are discussed emphatically. Based on IDEF0 structural analysis, CSCW methodology, knowledge engineering and CAx techniques, a system framework was put forward and a software environment supporting the remote collaborative design and manufacturing of stamping product was developed and came into use.
