Abstract:
The adoption of complex environment lighting has been increasing in interactive graphics applications,such as games.It provides better realism compared to conventional artificial lights.This paper provides a survey on the real-time rendering algorithms regarding scenes with dynamic,complex environment lighting,and tries to characterize these algorithms according to their base techniques,assumptions,limitations and range of utilization.Especially,it attempts to point out the main course of future research in this domain by analyzing the underlying relationships between the different algorithms.
