Abstract: The background of occurrence of collaborative product commerce (CPC) along with its corresponding demands to agile design is presented. A CPC-based agile design supporting system (CPC-ADSS) with its functional and system architecture is constructed. The functional architecture is built up from a hierarchy of design toolkit service, information management kernel and collaboration environment service, data exchange and communication protocol support, networking and database support. The system architecture contains a hierarchy of Web browser, Web server, Application server, and data storage server. Finally a mechanism design for paper transmission as an application example is illustrated.
