Abstract:
RE-SOFT,a feature-based reverse engineering software,has being widely accepted by CAD technicians because of its distinct tools for point-cloud operation,geometric feature extraction,operation and analysis,feature-based curve and surface reconstruction,edit and etc.System architecture and main functions of the software are introduced briefly.Some key techniques and algorithms,with regard to data pre-processing,feature extraction,feature reconstruction and edition,are presented and described in detail. Taking an engine blade as an example,the application illustrates that,with RESOFT,feature-based parametric model can be obtained efficiently and accurately.Finally,the next tasks for upgrading RE-SOFT are concluded.
