Abstract: ZD-MCAD Ⅱ is a feature based modeling system for mechanical product．It supports design by geometric and feature recognition as well as design by feature．The paper introduces the function and architecture of ZD-MCAD Ⅱ in detail，and offers a method for implementing feature edition and feature library based on spatial constraints．
