Abstract: This paper describes the method and theory basis for the classification，recognition and automatic calculation of the engineering drawing graphic elements．The geometry attribution and its representation are also analyzed theoretically which has set up the foundation of automatic classification and recognition．We make the classification for the general polyline and close polyline elements in the engineering drawing by using the blur logic method．The application experiments for the classification，recognition as well as automatic calculation for the bar in the architecture structure graph are also shown．
