Abstract: Multiresolution representation provides a more flexible approach to edit curves and surfaces in different resolution levels. The paper describes, from the viewpoint of geometry, the principles and methods of realizing wavelets-based multiresolution representation of quasi-uniform cubic B-spline curves. An example is given to illustrate the editing of B-spline curves in multiresolution level.
