基于拉普拉斯算子的Snakes方法分析

Snakes Methods Analysis Based on Laplacian Operator

  • 摘要: 基于一个与传统Snakes方法能量函数等价的目标优化函数,变分得到Snakes的水平集形式.该形式具备清晰的几何物理意义:一方面,演化速度自适应于图像内容,并在理论上精确达到零,给出了Snakes曲线在边缘位置停止演化的理由;另一方面,演化方向自适应于图像内容,揭示了Snakes的初始曲线不用设定演化方向而水平集需要设定的原因.文中结果对如何拓展水平集演化方向的自适应性具有理论意义.

     

    Abstract: A function equivalent to traditional power function in Snakes method is used to develop the level set format of Snakes. This format exhibits vivid geometrical and physical characteristics. First, the velocity depends on the graph itself and theoretically it can approach to zero, and as a result, we have sufficient reason to assume that the Snakes curves will stop on the edge. Second, the moving direction of the curve depending on the graph itself testifies why we need not specify the direction at the beginning. Theories in this paper will be helpful in extending the direction self-adaptation of level set methods.
