基于运动场无序度的快速块模式选择算法

Fast Block Mode Selection Algorithm Based on Chaos Degree of Motion Field

  • 摘要: 针对H.264的多模式运动估计,引入运动无序度的概念来刻画当前宏块的运动混乱程度,通过理论和实验统计分析,建立了无序度和最优块模式之间的关联模型 基于该模型,提出了一种基于当前宏块运动场无序度的块模式判定算法 (Fast Mode Selection algorithm based on Chaos Degree of Motion Field,CDMF-FMS),最后的实验结果表明,该算法在基本保持原来参考软件编码性能的基础上,整体编码时间平均减少 20%以上.

     

    Abstract: A new concept—chaos degree of motion field was proposed to accelerate the computation of multi-block mode motion estimation while preserving its high performance of video compression. We deduced correlation model between chaos degree of motion field and optimal block mode by exhaustive statistic observations. A fast mode selection algorithm was proposed according to the correlation model and theoretical analysis. Simulation results on JM72 show that CDMF-FMS(Fast Mode Selection based on Chaos Degree of Motion Field) could reduce 20% of computation time with the same compression performance as the full mode motion estimation.
