使用重采样点扩展模型的传递函数调整方案

Transfer Function Setting Using Extended Sample Model

  • 摘要: 提出一种传递函数的调整方案——ESTF. 该方案基于重采样点扩展模型,把传统的基于重采样点的传递函数扩展为基于重采样段的传递函数,对重采样段内的光学属性进行提前计算.在绘制中将重采样段而不是重采样点作为融合的基本单位,在计算重采样段光学属性过程中引入滤波器概念.实验结果表明:ESTF在低采样、超采样情形下对体绘制结果质量均有提高和加强,低采样情形下效果尤其明显.另外,ESTF与不同滤波器的结合为绘制结果的质量控制提供了灵活性.

     

    Abstract: This paper introduces the transfer function based on extended sample (ESTF ) to adjust transfer function parameters. ESTF generalizes the original resample-based transfer functions to the resample-segment-based ones by the extended sample model. The resample-segments instead of the resamples are used as the composition units. The optical attributes of the resample-segments are precomputed on the basis of resample-based transfer function.Meanwhile,filters are introduced to the process of computing ESTF.The experimental results show that ESTF produces better rendering results than the original transfer function for both low-sampling rendering and over-sampling rendering,and is especially suitable in the case of low sampling rendering.Additionally,various rendering effects can be achieved by combining ESTF with different filters.
