Abstract: This paper introduces an efficient and fast line-search router which can be applied to multi-layer printed circuit board routing.
In order to improve the global effect of routing and to make the routing more reasonable, some methods are proposed. They are : (1) To make the target-oriented line-search algorithm suitable to multi-layer routing by extending the concept of the search line, (2) To improve the global effect of the whole routing by adapting the strategy of multi-level search and multi-layer simultaneous search, and (3) To guarantee the reasonability of the routing by way of multi-stage optimization.
