Abstract: To help rasterization algorithm of Chinese outline characters achieving high quality, we tried to use hinting method. In this paper, the way to add hints to Chinese outline font is discussed, and the hinted grid-fitting algorithm for character rasterization is presented. The printing results have proved that our method is sound.
