Abstract:
A method is proposed for aligning the images taken with varying exposure time and fusing them into a high dynamic range image in this paper. The main steps are as follows:First, the images are filtered by a median filter and binarized. Then the resultant binary images are represented by a pyramid,by which the image translation and rotation are carried out level by level for the alignment.By sampling the aligned images, the camera's response curve, that is,the function between the grey value of a pixel and the exposure time,is fitted by the least squares method, and a high dynamic range image is constructed. The experiments show that the constructed high dynamic range images are satisfactory.
